Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before booking your first detail.
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your vehicle's paint at the molecular level, creating a semi-permanent layer of protection. Unlike wax or sealant that sits on top and washes away, ceramic coating becomes part of your paint's surface. It provides hydrophobic (water-repelling) properties, UV protection, chemical resistance, and an incredible deep gloss that lasts for years.
Our ceramic coating lasts 3 years with proper maintenance. The coating's longevity depends on factors like washing habits, environmental exposure, and whether you follow our aftercare guidelines.
Absolutely. Ceramic coating eliminates the need for regular waxing, makes your car dramatically easier to wash, protects your paint from UV damage and chemical etching, and maintains a showroom-level gloss for years. It also helps preserve your vehicle's resale value by keeping the paint in excellent condition. Starting at $799, it's a smart investment for any vehicle owner.
It depends on your paint's current condition. Ceramic coating locks in whatever is underneath — so if your paint has swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation, those imperfections will be sealed under the coating. We recommend paint correction for any vehicle with visible imperfections. Single-stage paint correction is included with our ceramic coating, and additional correction is available as an add-on.
Yes — and it's actually the ideal time. New paint is in its best condition, so you get maximum gloss and protection from day one without needing paint correction. Many of our customers coat their vehicles within the first few weeks of ownership to protect their investment from the start.
We recommend hand washing with a pH-neutral car shampoo and microfiber wash mitts. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes, as they can introduce micro-scratches over time. The great news is that washing a coated car is incredibly easy — dirt and grime slide off with minimal effort thanks to the hydrophobic surface.
Ceramic coating adds a hard, scratch-resistant layer to your paint, but it's not scratch-proof. It provides excellent protection against light marring, swirl marks from washing, and minor abrasions. For heavy scratch protection, we recommend combining ceramic coating with paint protection film (PPF) on high-impact areas.
A full ceramic coating service typically takes 1-3 days depending on the package and whether paint correction is included. The coating itself needs time to cure properly. We'll provide a specific timeline when you book based on your vehicle and chosen package.
Ceramic coating requires a controlled environment for proper application and curing. Depending on the package and conditions, we may perform the service at your location or at our facility. Contact us to discuss the best option for your situation.
