Cypress is unincorporated Harris County that has grown into one of the largest master-planned corridors in Texas, with Bridgeland and Towne Lake filling in land that was rice fields a generation ago. Long commutes down 290 and a climate that stays humid most of the year are hard on both cabins and paint. SHWASH has covered the Houston metro since 2024.
Cypress runs along US-290 and the Grand Parkway, and the commute into Houston along 290 is one of the longer ones in the metro. Weekends in Bridgeland and Towne Lake mean lakes, trails and sports fields.
Gulf Coast conditions apply here too: humid most of the year, lovebugs in May and September, and hurricane season from June through November. With so many new neighborhoods still going up, construction dust is part of the mix.

Yes. Newer sections of Cypress often have no working outside tap yet, and it makes no difference to us because we carry our own water and power.

How long does the appointment run?
Between 1.5 and 2.5 hours for the full detail, or roughly an hour to 90 minutes for interior only.
How often should I book?
Every one to two months for anything parked outside. Spring pollen and the dust from the construction going on all over Cypress build up faster than most people expect.
Are you insured?
Yes. Fully insured and licensed in Texas, and every detailer is background-checked before working on their own.
When are lovebugs worst, and do they hurt paint?
They swarm around May and again around September. Their remains are acidic and bake onto bumpers, hoods and mirrors in the heat, so they are worth removing within a few days. The pre-soak softens them before the wash.
